Magic City broke ground in the cold hard winter of 2009. Ever since, they have been building on their St. Louis foundation by touring the Midwest, East Coast and Southern climes. Magic City released its self-titled EP cd in June, 2010. Their full-length LP Les Animaux Épouvantables was released on July 23, 2011 on Tower Groove Records. They have recorded a split 7" with Up The Academy at the Harveyville Project in August 2011 to be released in November 2011. Magic City is currently working on a song at Smokin' Baby Studio to be included on the Tower Groove Records compilation, which is due out in April 2012. ...................................................................................................... BOOKING CONTACT: magic-city12@hotmail.com .................................................................................. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1Xkb_o0PAGc ***************************************************************** "The best albums draw you in by magnetic compulsion, and Magic City's full-length debut is a hypnotizing circus: muddy, spooky, wise and thrilling. The band is packed with scene veterans and anchored by the city's most spellbinding frontman in Larry Bulawsky. There is some honest-to-goodness weirdness on this record; pumping it through headphones is the kind of experience that makes you feel feral and alive. There is a narrative here, as on all great records, of morality subjected to the shimmering temptations of life. Les Animaux Épouvantables is also Tower Groove Records' debut release, and it's as strong a starting point as a burgeoning music collective could hope for."
