Dj Ficus aka Manndibull est la moitié du duo de producteur / dj CATERVA.
Ficus mixe et produit de la musique électronique depuis 10 ans.
Débutant par le mix drum'n'bass et dub, il se mit au breakbeat et finalement tomba amoureux du Dubstep dès 2005. Il fut l'un des pionniers de cette scène en France avec le groupe Caterva et le label Sens Inverse.
Ne s'arrêtant pas à la production et à l'organisation de soirées, Dj Ficus anime depuis 1 an une émission sur une web radio, Radio404.org.
Lors de sa "Fresh Selecta", Ficus diffuse des tracks non commercialisés, envoyés par une multitudes de producteurs à travers le monde. Son show radio, est l'un tout premiers en France dans lequel on peut retrouver les sons de la nouvelle scène hip hop..."wonky, bleep, glitchop et Turbocrunk..." et les nouveautés de la scène dubstep Française.

Dj ficus aka Manndibull is the half of the dj/producer duet called CATERVA. Ficus has mixed and produced electronic music for 10 years. He began as a Drum'n'Bass DJ, then Breakbeat and finaly fell in love with dubstep in 2005. With label Sens Inverse, Caterva crew was one of the very first Dubstep live in France. Beside his main activities as a producer and venue planner, Dj ficus' weekly radio show on the web radio "Radio 404" is a great sucess since 2008. During the "Fresh Selecta", Ficus plays non-commercialised tracks, sent by hundreds of producers world wide. The show is the french first channel where you can heard sounds from the new hip hop scene..."wonky, bleep, glitchop & turbocrunk..." and news from french dubstep background. Review: "Don Goliath's "Bagstep EP" (DDR030) is one of those innovative EPs showcasing how versatile Dubstep can get. The unique idea of creating Dubstep versions of celctic (Irish as well as Scottish) folk classics for all you drunkards longing to sing along was Don Goliath's motto when producing this madness. The concept is as simple as effective: he picked 4 of your grandpa's favourites such as "Old Skibbereen", "Scotland the Brave", "Drunken Sailor" and "Amazing Grace" having the melody played by a definitly non-sober Bagpipe section and then layering it with lofi mid range wobbleism - we therefor call it Bagstep. Overall production quality is high grade with that intense sub focus so you can blow-dry your hair right in front of the bass bins. Now let's get into the tunes: "Skibbereen Bagstep" is one of the melancolic minor tunes expressing Irish history as it is. It is an unmixable 3/4 waltz beat at unusual 154bpm, well dancebal though when one moves to the triplets. "Bagstep the brave" should be one of the sickest rebuilds of the Scottish national anthem making it Mel Gibson's signature tune if he had one. "Drunken Bagstep" is a Glitchfest version of the sailors anthem capable of getting you uberdrunk by listening alone, Arrrr! "Amazing Bagstep" is as religious as it gets making it a tune that'll certainly safe xamounts of lost souls. Enjoying the dancefloor got even easier now: drink out the bar, make your skirt fly and sing along to these (future) classics! Some will hate this release and some will love it, there barely is anything in between. All Dubstep Division crew salutes the latter as our fellow beerheadz! cheeeeeerz!"
