(Mar-ko-may), a gifted Canadian singer, songwriter and musician,
belongs to this elite group. Her music embodies passion, emotes

Blending
lyrics with her unique wordless
language
'onomatopoeia', her compositions create dialects which enhance the
listening experience. Marcomé
blends world
music rhythms,
middle-eastern intonations and new-age ‘airiness' then
layers it with her sublime voice. Not only is Marcoméa proficient
keyboardist and percussionist, she also produces arranges and
engineers all of her own musical works. Her impressive professional
experience and background as a quality sound and mastering engineer,
has allowed her to collaborate with artists and producers such as
Diana
Krall, Cecila Bartoli, Le Cirque du Soleil, Branford Marsalis, Sir
George Martin, Tom Waits, Daniel Lanois, Pat Metheny and

Seas, was
released in Canada, USA, Europe, Asia and the Middle East in 1995 and
received critical acclaim. All the lush sounds and vocals of the
original release have been enhanced, Seven
SeasRemastered is born; the magic of
the sound is breath taking. Co-produced with Michel
Robidoux (Frank Zappa),

incorporates
keyboards, fretless bass and traditional worldbeat instruments while
layering her vocals over the pieces of music.

The first single
Yeku,
broke into
the Top 50 radio airplay chart in the province of Québec. The
music video enjoyed significant video play on Bravo! Television's
“Video Hits” program and played in high rotation on
MusiMax music television for months!

Il y a peu d’artistes qui captent l’imaginaire à
lapremière écoute. Marcomé (Mar-ko-may) appartient à cette catégorie.
D’origine québécoise, Marcomé compose, arrange,produit et chante de façon
autodidacte depuis le début des années 80. Marcomé est une styliste musicale à
la voix forte et pure. En superposant plusieurs couches de sa voix astrale elle
façonne un nouvel instrument qu’elle maitrise à merveille. Avec son mélange
d’anglais et de mots inventés, l’artiste nous propose un langage musical inspiré
de musique du monde. Marcomé est non seulement musicienne mais également
l’artisane sonore de ses albums. Sa vaste expérience en tant qu’ingénieur en
mixage et mastering l’on amené à travailler avec des artistes de renom tel que,
Diana Krall, Le Cirque du Soleil, Branford Marsalis, Sir George Martin, Tom
Waits, Daniel Lanois, Pat Metheny et Yes.

fous ! Marcomé co-produit à nouveau avec Michel Robidoux (Jean-Pierre
Ferland) et Martin Lord-Ferguson (Cirque du Soleil). Les percussions
de Michel Dupire (Diane Dufresne) enrichissent ce monde planant d’espace
et de liberté. Le premier Vidéoclip River of Life, dont les images de
nature et les peintures ont été filmées et peintes par Marcomé, nous
invite à suivre le courant et à lâcher prise… "Come and run in the river, let

Seven Seas Remasterisé
Sorti en 1995 en France, aux Etats-Unis, au Japon
et en Europe, le premier CD de Marcomé intitulé Seven Seas a fait
le tour du monde. Co-produit avec Michel Robidoux (Robert Charlebois, Leonard
Cohen), Seven Seas Remasterisé amalgame adroitement les accents du
Moyen-Orient aux harmonies jazz et les rythmes du monde aux teintes nouvel âge.
Marc Langis (Céline Dion), à la basse et Michel Dupire (Beau Dommage),
aux percussions viennent épauler les claviers et les voix riches de Marcomé.
Avec ses couleurs sonores et ses riches mélodies, Marcomé nous offre une
musique tantôt cinématographique, tantôt plus intime et introspective. Le
premier simple et vidéoclip Yeku a fait un top 50 radio au Québec en 1998
ainsi qu’un top 10 à Bravo et un top 25 à Musimax. Pour faire suite à la version
Remasterisée de Seven Seas, un tout nouveau vidéoclip Memoria a
été lancé au Canada et sur Internet en mars 2008. Des images profondes et
touchantes.
