The Mark Joseph Project is a group led by singer/guitarist Mark Grundhoefer that projects the heart and soul found in music. The band is comprised of an ever changing cast of musicians hand picked by Grundhoefer to play a variety of musical styles from a range of musical genres and eras. With an emphasis on strong vocals and solid funk and R&B beats, the band slides from classics by Jackie Wilson to the twisting arias of John Legend and Erykah Badu. By seamlessly switching from an eclectic selection of covers, to creative open-ended jams, to cutting and clever free styles, Grundhoefer is able to change the band's lineup with ease and maintain a fresh and vibrant instrumentation from night to night. The Project has used musicians from Down Lo, The New Congress, Gold Standard, The Feelin' Band, Shoeless Revolution and more, and has played venues throughout the Twin Cities and greater Midwest.
