..........Oh, give me the beat boys and free my soul...
I want to get lost in your rock and roll and drift away...
(Mentor Williams) ..............................................................................
We shall dance, we shall stay
with the children at play...
Lord I swear when the time comes
we'll pray...
(Roussos / Chalkitis / Bergman)..................................................................................It is written from the desert
to the mountains they shall lead us
by the hand and by the heart
and they will comfort you and me...
In their innocence and trusting
they will teach us to be free
For the children and the flowers
are my sisters and my brothers
their laughter and their loveliness
would clear a cloudy day...
And the song that I am singing
is a prayer to non believers
Come and stand beside us
we can find a better way...

When I was child a complex to hid in myself because my parents had not been born in Naples town as me, and I felt me some "foreigner."(Italy is like many and different nations in one nation...)
Now, singing in different languages I keep on feeling me foreigner...and that complex of infancy I keeping inside me forever!
.................................................................................................................................
Massimo Cantor, the last of five sons, was born in San Giacomo dei Capri (Parco Pica) Neapolis (Italy).
Curriculum vitae: Classificato 6° alle selezioni regionali del Concorso canoro nazionale "Sanremo Famosi..." del 1991
(Classified 6th to the preliminary selections of the national melodious italian Festival "Sanremo Famosi..." of 1991).
Now, with all the real-webcam musical videos, he's : On the air & Live to sing
(in English, French, Spain, Portuguese, Italian and Napoletan songs). ........................................................................................................................................................................................................................................TECHNICAL NOTES:
Typical "of grace-di grazia" tenor and "lirico leggero" (light-tenor), one's flexile, agile, clear and mellow voice, on the tracks of the virtuosos italian "belcanto" singers of two centuries ago ('800: G.B. Rubini et cetera).
With a silvery timbre, a precious and rare "tight vibrato", characteristic he reaches into 5th high-octave, till natural F5 (for Contralto), these notes, produced preferable with a full voice are indeeded truly impressive: unforced, brightness, expansive and sparkling-qualities which can still be appreciated in many rudimental and simple videos-recordings.
Correct use of breathing, with relative dosing of breath in expiration (which enabled him to slur notes at any height and to soften or strengthen sounds and libitum).
Costant his taste for "rolled gold" phrases, a reduction of the vocal "medium" which facilitated ascent to sharp.
Rigorous application of so-called "register transition" and conseguent use in the high range of facial risonance (with sound "in maschera").
Sometimes is present his authentic passion for hyperbole, for breath-taking exploits;
but instead, in free vocal pop-register: he sings spontaneous with a good behavior, on occasion soft, cheerful or drammatic, when necessary, in intimist art style or realistic (veristic-style) and interpretative pertinence.
Endowed with a modest "spoken" voice , but surprisingly in full voice vocalize: his vibration's voice, ductil and malleable, is audible till a radius of 100 meters and more... from terraces to others of a sporting stadium!..
However, also he has a full and extended register of baritone (G2/ Ab4) with likely baritone timbre, and so: the portrait of this vocal E.T. (extra-terrestrial) is complete!..............................................................................................................................IN ITALIAN:
A volte si nota una sua autentica passione per l'iperbole, per la prodezza mozzafiato;
................................................................................................................CANTOR'S VOCAL RANGE:
lowest note E2 (Baritone);
head voice higher note F5 (Light Tenor/Contralto);
falsetto higher note A5 (Mezzo-soprano).

Welcome to Theory of Tides. Check out our crosscurrents of alt rock, hip hop, techno and trance. Feedback, tell us your faves. Happy to have you here/hear in our Tidal Pool. THE TIDE IS IN…AND SO ARE THE REVIEWS ‘N’ INTERVIEWS:
-NEUFUTUR: “Mirana’s vocals further establish Theory of Tides as a truly special act, one that can use the widest possible swath of approaches to create the music heard here.” - SKOPE: “Cool, hip and modern beats are fully loaded on this new albumand I simply can’t get enough!” -EMUSIC: “…it’s like alternative trance music, with brief smatterings of hip hop/latin beats. Arty, yes - but does it work? Actually, yes.” - NEUFUTUR: “Theory of Tides, and this album specifically, should be seen as a blueprint for how to properly incorporate disparate genres of music into one cogent sound.” - SKOPE: “…Mirana simply sang her heart out while she meshed in perfectly with Rick’s production the all around connection at the end with everything coming together beautifully proves that the tide is high.” - NEUFUTUR: “Karaoke is Theory of Tide’s first bona fide hit, with cohesion abounds between the instrumental and vocal sides of the act. This results in a track that rides a groove while Mirana’s vocals clue listeners into a wonderfully detailed narrative.” - EMUSIC: “Track’s like ‘Elated’ have an Ibiza-in-summer feel and a deep house beat underneath Mirana’s distinctive vocals. ‘Hour of Pain’ is built on a swishing cymbol symbol beat and keyboard chords, and again it works – the vocal fades and quiet bass additions are spot on.” - SKOPE: “One aspect that I truly loved about his album was the use of sounds and beats. The sound production is spot on with Rick bringing his A-game. I heard everything form hip hop, pop/dance, technoish, trance like and tribal beats…”
