About Matthias Steele

The roots of Matthias Steele date back to 1985 with founding members bassist/vocalist Tony Lionetti and drummer Nino Trovato but it wasn't until 1996 with the arrival of guitarist Jami Blackwood to finally complete the line-up as it is today. Though the band has been around for over 20 years playing the club circuit in Rhode Island and Connecticut, they have seen trends and musical genres come and go and have adapted to the times. Currently the band have just entered REDBONE RECORDINGS in Westerly, RI to begin sessions for their follow up to RESURRECTION. No title or release date yet. MATTHIAS STEELE shows are an energetic performance with bassist Tony Lionetti as a focal point with his frenetic bass playing and multi octave vocals. A consummate professional he delivers with high energy from start to finish. Drummer Nino Trovato is a consistent driving force behind the drums keeping the pace throughout the show while gutarist Jami Blackwood's unique guitar approach forges ahead with precision.
