La band nasce nel 2004 a Mestre (Venezia) per opera di Alessandro e Marco, rispettivamente basso e batteria, con una passione sfrenata per lo stoner. così nell'estate del 2005 iniziano a comporre le prime canzoni. iniziano a registrare le canzoni per l'EP d'esordio nel Blocco A di Padova dal geniale Giulio Ragno Favero nella caldissima estate del 2006, lavoro recensito positivamente da diversi magazine e portali del settore tra i quali MetalManiac e Perkele.it. Da questo punto iniziano per i tre una serie di concerti durante tutto il periodo 2007/2008 (Go Down Festival, Nite Park, Rock On The River, Venice Airport Festival) che li farà entrare nella scuderia Rocky Rocketz Management e grazie alla quale riescono ad avere la possibilità di aprire concerti a grandi artisti mondiali quali Truckfighters, Brant Bjork And The Bros e Dzjenghis Khan. Vengono inseriti nella compilation 'The Heavy Psych Italian Sounds', raccolta che riunisce i migliori gruppi rock stoner del panoramana italiano e nella 'Tomato compilation', raccolta che verrà distribuita gratutitamente col mensile Sound&Vision con una tiratura di 5000 copie. Dopo queste esperienze decidono di mixare il loro primo LP nell'NHQ di Ferrara con l'aiuto di Manuele Fusaroli, che uscirà nei primi mesi del 2009 distribuito da Go Down Records.
Maya Mountains was formed during 2004 at Mestre (Venezia) from Alessandro (voice,bass) and Marco (drums).
In april 2005 Emanuel joined the band with is thick distorted sound and gave a more aggressive direction to them.
After the arrival of the new guitar player they started composing , having long jam sessions and letting cover songs out.
In summer 2005 they had some of the first songs ready.
Their style is a mix between rock and stoner : fuzzy guitar riffs above psyco deadly rythmics.
In april 2006 They choosed the name of the band and faced the first concert , then in july they began recording
songs for their debut EP at Blocco A studio with Giulio Ragno Favero.
The EP had good reviews from many stoner and not magazines (Perkele.it , Metal Maniac)
After the release the three started series of gigs that took them around Italy during 2007/2008
and let them in Rocky Rocketz Management rooster making them play with many great artists just like
B. Bjork and the bros , Truckfighters , Djenghis Khan , Gorilla and others.
They are part of "The Heavy Psych Italian Sounds" a compilation that promotes the best rock psych stoner bands in
the Italian panorama and of "Tomato" with the newest bands from North East Italy and printed in 5000 copies.
After these experiences they decided to mix their first full-lenght at NHQ studio with Manuele Fusaroli
"Hash and Pornography" will be released during the beginning of 2009 with GO DOWN records distribution.

Doom will never die, DOOMRAISER too! Dopo l’uscita del secondo album Erasing the Remembrance ed il successivo tour europeo ed alcuni festival, annunciamo con molto dispiacere la decisione di Valerio di lasciare la band. Molestius preferisce continuare concentrandosi su altri progetti e sulla propria vita privata. Gli auguriamo tutto il bene possibile, perché nel corso del tempo è stato parte integrante dei DOOMRAISER, un fratello e un grande chitarrista. Che ha contribuito a rendere questa realtà ciò che è oggi.
Tuttavia, per una porta che si chiude, ce n’è un’altra che si apre. È con grande piacere che annunciamo l’entrata nella band di Willer. Da sempre sesto uomo della band, già conosciuto per la precedente esperienza nei Grimness e per il progetto Black Land che porta avanti da anni. Le prove con lui ci hanno meravigliato ed il feeling nel gruppo è scattato subito. Il suo talento alla chitarra contribuirà a dare una nuova dimensione, ancora più oscura e acida, al suono degli heavy drunken doomster.
La prima esibizione con Willer è fissata per il 21 novembre al Sinister Noise Club di Roma: occasione speciale perché festeggeremo il compleanno di uno dei locali più importanti della scena rock underground italiana e estera.
