Friction born & raised in StrongIsland, NY a region which has produced some of the most legendary emcees/groups ever, this Underground Emcee who started spittin’ in April 2006 says that Creativity ,Passion & Lyricism has been removed from the genre of Hip-Hop & replaced with gimmicks ,swag & studio gangsters . Friction raised in the 80’s the Golden Era of Hip-Hop became disgusted with the way Corporate America had sucked the life out of Hip-Hop. We went from 100% creative control to less then 15 % in a decade. There are a lot of social/political issues which need to be addressed in Hip-Hop , but will never see the light of day. The lack of ownership in media outlets such as TV stations /Radio stations, Magazine/Newspaper publications has led to the suppression of an Art form which was founded on an honest expression of struggle & Truth. So until we collectively start talking about some real issues instead of the unsustainable fantasy of rims, cars, clothes, hoes ,ice, guns, jails & drugs we will continue to remain stagnant in the pool of mediocrity. I want to be an example to the next generation of Emcees coming up in this game , who face post 911 big government policies. Our freedoms in the greatest country in the world are being destroyed every time congress meets & the most boastful ,truthful form of expression that exist in this world (Hip-Hop) which has the power to Unite people all over the world regardless of race ,creed, color or religion is content to talk about rims!! I will continue to apply pressure on those who use lies & deceptions to push their agendas forward as the acronym that is my name explains. I’m F-orever R-esisting I-njustice & C-hallenging T-ruths In Order to ova throw N-ations I’m teaching the youth, preparing them with the weapons the need. My first 3 project (The Pole Position Trilogy) which are Black, White & Red all over is my answer to the medias $161 billion dollar a year terror propaganda campaign against the American Public.
