These are my nerdcore influences:
- YTCracker
- MC Frontalot
- Shael Riley
- Karl Olson
Without ever hearing these guys I don't think I'd be half as inspired to do what I do. Yet these are not the sole bands that inspire me, there are many many many bands that do. This does not mean I style my music after any of them though, only my passion for the music.
Quick Bio:
I'm 21. I live in Seattle, Washington. I make music using a variety of computer programs with the help of a few midi controllers as well as my new additions: an Alesis Micron Synth, LSDJ, and a Alesis drum machine. I've been making music on the pc since I was 13 and have made songs in a variety of genres like techno, trance, ambient, and industrial. I started rapping a few years back, but very casually and last year moved into nerdcore because it expresses me the best.
Also I'm a student working on a degree for audio production. So I'm not producing new songs every week as I am on a fairly tight schedule.
My only goal, to one day make a song that someone will listen to in their car and enjoy it. All my music is free and always will be.
Also, to add... I'm serious about this. I don't care if you like it or not because I'm making it to express myself. I don't think the scene is a joke, I find it a serious and real as anything else. I hope others do the same. But ya know.. I do make jokes and I do poke fun, it's my nature. In actuality I don't really pwn the best. In a tourney I'd probably be killed... but I like to play and I always will, this isn't something I will just grow out of or that I'm doing for attention or anything other than the fact that I love being who I am... a gamer... a geek.
Also note that I'm working on my upcoming albums. Read blog entries for constant updates. Been almost 2 years in the making now, so just wait a bit longer. It'll be worth it.
In the world of nerdy these things fuel me:
- Nerdcore Rap, all shapes and sizes
