As the gleam of the whitest strobe light streams it’s way across a sea of energetic, frenetic ravers with their hands raised to the sky, glow sticks firmly in hand and whistles blowing with wanton abandon; the echo of a bass loop can be heard resounding across the arena as any one of a number of superstar headliners takes to a Pioneer and sets up the next slammer for a crowd that’s now at fever pitch in anticipation of not only their DJ, but one particular MC. As he steadily steps up to the front of the stage, upbeat in his manner, happy in his ways and looking good on the dress code front, that one MC dusts off his mic and let’s out his first lyric of the night and it’s met… with a thunderous applause. Welcome to the World of MC Whizzkid.

Whizzkid’s first break came in the mid 1990’s, after following a passion for groundbreaking artists pushing boundaries musically such as the prolific ‘The Prodigy’. Ironically today Whizzkid is looked upon by the raving community and its peers as prolific himself, an original artist pushing lyrical boundaries of his own. From attending his first ever event at Fantazia, back then but a young raver, Whizzkid was both inspired and amazed by his experiences there and was driven from that day forward by a quest to succeed, to perform, to write, create, to entertain and has since then built a repertoire of lyrics, rhymes and a penchant for wrangling a crowd through his microphone at a sold out event like no other before him. An avid lover of all genres of music both past and present, Whizzkid continues to be as enthusiastic about the music that drives him as the very ravers that turn up in their droves to see him.

From Slammin Vinyl to Hardcore Till I Die, from Fusion to Uproar, Hardcore Heaven to Fantazia, Helter Skelter, Raverbaby and beyond - if there’s a Hardcore event happening somewhere in the World, be it the capacity crowds of the club land giants or the more intense and exciting intimacy of a smaller party with an energy in the air; there’s a bet that somewhere on the line-up Whizzkid will be there. Featuring quite prominently on a flyer and never arrogant with his unique place in Hardcore and never too cocksure of his gifts, MC Whizzkid makes time for the folk that show up to those very events week in and week out, often going out of his way to spend time with the raving public.

Of course, his lyrical genius is not limited to live skits on the grand stages, or the smaller ones for that matter; his work also extends to the studio where he is signed to industry legend Hixxy’s very own Raverbaby Records and spends quite a lot of his time working closely with other key headlining artists on and off stage such as Darren Styles, Gammer, Dougal, DJ Breeze, Weaver, Squad-E, Billy ‘Daniel’ Bunter and of course the man DJ Hixxy himself and that’s the short list!

As a recording artist, The Kid works in many different genres of music from hip hop to hardhouse! Whizzkid has featured on many different albums, including the platinum selling Clubland Extreme Hardcore series for All Around The World, this has furthermore afforded him the opportunity to become part of the GTV Records chart busting CD compilation series True Hardcore for which he has now successfully completed two albums along with recording artists Sy, Unknown, Dougal, Gammer, Supreme, Sunset Regime and MC Storm covering new and upfront UK Hardcore from labels Quosh, Essential Platinum and THC.
