The show is an enchanting journey, that captures the audience with soulful sounds to energetic up-tempo compositions.
Debut album "Boleritza"(2008) features a Gypsy violin virtuoso Roby Lakatos, also known as "the devil's fiddler."
Megitza Quartet
was formed by a vocalist / bassist Malgorzata Babiarz. Influences of the Polish Highlander tradition of the village, from which she originally hails, can be heard in her compositions as well as in her style of singing. Andreas Kapsalis, an acoustic guitar prodigy, adds elements of flamenco, while the accordionist Marek Lichota evokes the pathos of klezmer with fluidly melodic runs, all backed by an innovative drummer Jamie Gallagher.
