The festival is organised by an independent Baltic label DANGUS with a big help of friends and enthusiasts.
This organisation to state is represented by a non-profit public institution "Baltijos Griaustinis".

MENUO JUODARAGIS (Black Horned Moon) represents contemporary Baltic and darkwave culture in new light. This is both paying respect to the tradition and concurrently enjoying a new festival of new arts. This also provides the creative forge of Baltic world-view and aesthetics, where old and new, authentic and modem, black and white, meaning and spontaneity merge. This is innovative international cultural event and stormy entertainment arranged in the country that has preserved the pagan Fire of Europe and speaks the most ancient language in the continent.

This year for the third time the festival was held in the beautiful island in Zarasas lake, a distant place, like the edge of the world,
where Nature is still living and pure. Looks like a DREAM.
We were revisiting this alluring place again and again,
while time has come to make the dream true...

Labas! We've had a fantastic time on tour in Europe this year and MJR was one of highlights for us - both the festival and the afterparty . We're now recording our new album in Berlin (scheduled for release in March). But for now here's a big (and silly) Happy Yule from us (and from some hippos too) :
Some bold new artistic direction? Nah, Just us being silly!!! We did this track for our label's "Black Snow - the completely different Xmas compilation". Wishing you a very silly Silly Season and we'll see you again in 2010 before we head back to Australia!
