My drumming influences began with Buddy Rich, Max Roach, Louie Bellson, and the theme from HAWAII FIVE-O. Next phase was Mitch Mitchell, Carl Palmer, Ian Paice, John Bonham, Danny Seraphine, and Don Brewer. Then came Billy Cobham, Lenny White, Steve Gadd, and Bill Bruford. The final phase of influential drummers for me include Jeff Porcaro, Harvey Mason, David Garibaldi, Bernard Purdie, Terry Bozzio, Simon Phillips, Dave Weckl, Tony Williams, and the GRAND MASTER - Vinnie Colaiuta.
The new breed of drumming greats that are inspiring include Marco Minnemann, Horacio Hernandez, Virgil Donati, Bill Stewart, Mike Mangini, Jojo Mayer, Todd Sucherman and Gavin Harrison.
