About me:

I NO LONGER USE MYSPACE WHATSOVER AND I DON'T RECEIVE COMMENTS OR MESSAGES! My weekly alternative left-wing political cartoon, "The Boiling Point", has appeared in the Boston Phoenix, The L.A. Times, Detroit's Metro Times, The Rochester Insider, In These Times online, the Funny Times, Ms., Girlfriends, and other assorted fine publications. I was featured as "cartooning's angry young woman" in the anthology Attitude 2: The New Subversive Alternative Cartoonists, edited by Ted Rall. Check out my cartoons comment in the blog and read more about me at http://www.mikhaela.net.

I live in Brooklyn with husband and fellow cartoonist Masheka Wood, and our cats Ronnie and Riley (named for a character in the Boondocks).

    hey Mikhaela:
love the comics, your self portraits are engaging and compelling.

    Serendipitous comic connection:
I went to a Neko Case show (in Vancouver) last week and discovered a series of comic books for women who have had it with being called girls

    thanks for the friend add.

have been to Brooklyn and loved it. Stayed at a friend's loft that was an old converted bottling factory.

    Never wanted to leave.

    have a great weekend!
