Mind Candy is a ska/punk/rock band from the Seattle area. Since 1995 we've played scores of shows, made a ton of good friends and had a lifetimes worth of fun.
We played many notable venues in the NW area including The Old Redmond Firehouse, Doc Maynard's, The Brickhouse, Zack's/The Funhouse, The Hideaway, Studio 7, Lobo Saloon, Pacific Rim Brewery, Ground Zero, El Corazon and Hell's Kitchen as well as a few trips to California and Idaho.
We also had the privilege of sharing the stage with many amazing bands including Gashuffer, 26,000 Volts, Warsaw Poland Bros., Moral Crux, Belvedere, The Diablotones, Instant Winner, Potty Mouth Society, Sicko, The Greedies, The Toasters, MU330, The Methadones, Bristle, The Hollowpoints, Butt Trumpet and Milhous.
Mind Candy was also honored to perform at the 2003 Warped Tour as well as the 2004 and 2005 Seattle Hempfest.
We made a few recordings over the years. None of them were ever released for sale but we used like to make CDs of our live recordings, draw crazy shit on them and give them away at shows. Our last recording session never got a final mix but you can download the rough mixes here.
Thank you to everyone who ever came to a Mind Candy show or listened to a CD and everyone out there who supports independent music and actually gives a shit.
Peace, Love and Anarchy!
For those who haven't heard, we'll be in the studio these next few months to record a new album with the renowned reggae singer, Eyon Irie. After that it's summer shows and writing songs for the next Orbits album!
In the meantime, if you don't have our self-titled cd yet, you can still pick it up on CD Baby and Itunes.
And swing by our myspace site to check out our new videos!
