MISSION STATEMENT of the MISSING TEENS
For a decade or longer, Mankind has been cavorting in the soft haze of Independent Rock, or "Indie Rock" for short. Young adults everywhere have been free to wear their jeans skinny and play their rhythm guitar in a lackadaisical manner. We celebrated this lifestyle, and this music, not because we were told to, but because we chose to; because we felt like it.
Now a long-suppressed mystery cult has seized power; it has come to strip Rock of its Independence, to crush the Hopes and Dreams of teenybopper and irony-drenched 20-40 something alike, to drag this era of Freedom and Cigarettes away in chains, and to usher in a New Age of Quantized Beats, Total Obedience to Pop, and New Gods for the Young and Beautiful everywhere.
At the head of this cult, this movement, are the Missing Teens. They have come to make you rock, whether you want to or not.
WHO ARE the MISSING TEENS?
A few years back, a group of teenagers, upstate, in search of kicks, took their uncle's boat out on the Hudson, late at night. The current carried them down to NY harbor, where they were lost. "Missing Teens!" the papers cried.
A week later, America's favorite band emerged. They are now a group of individuals whose origins are hazy and motives unclear: James Call on lead vocals, Darren Jones on drums, Dave Tirolo on bass guitar, Chris Boylan on guitar, keyboards from Isaac Everett and Tim Brennan on the Kaoss Pad.
This band honors the universal loss of adolescence with non-stop funky tunes about the personal failures of adulthood and childhood alike. Their sound is far out. Try it, you'll like it.
