Miz-Eyesis Bio: (Scroll to read the entire thing)

Since 2004, Miz-Eyesis has gone on to be a well known Dj in the Connecticut, New England and Eastern US EDM (Electronic Dance Music) circuit. As D+B is her passion, she is known for dropping any sort of style whether it is drumfunk, liquidfunk, techstep or jungle, she'll do it all. As a child she always had a passion for music, dance and art as it was a means to express herself and promote growth.

Attending specialized schools during her childhood which focused on artistic development of all sorts, even at one time in her life, Miz-Eyesis pursued a career in dance and studied with Alvin Ailey, Dance Connecticut, Hartford Conservatory and other prestigious dance and arts schools in the Northeastern United States. Not to mention her background in being educated and experimenting in all forms of music, visual art, music theory and art history.

In the progression of her life, it was only natural for her to fall into realm of the growing US EDM scene. For her the music, the visuals, the excitement of it all was the sort of stimulation that she needed. It accumulated all aspects of artistic expression into one, and she is all about expression.

A chance encounter in 1997 at a local record store changed her life when she picked up a cd by Goldie called "Timeless", who is considered a pioneer in the realm of Jungle/D+B. When she was done listening to this cd, a breath of fresh air came into her life and she felt as though all the life experiences within her soul was projected through this complex music and from then on needed to know everything about it.

"I would constantly do research to find out who the major players were and where this fresh sound came from... The lives of those individuals mirrored my own and I was hooked! I instantly loved the scene, the message and passion behind the music."

After ending her dance career in 2000 and taking a break from any sort of artistic expression, it was finally in 2002 that she purchased her first pair of decks, and decided that she would learn how to dj, as she couldn't stay away from any sort of art for long. Loving the fresh melodies and complex breaks of jungle, she fell in love with labels such as Hospital Records, Metalheadz, Bassbin, Soul:R, 31 Records, Renegade Hardware, Renegade Recordings, Moving Shadow, V Recordings, Full Cycle, Reinforced and many others.

She played at many house parties in the Greater Hartford Area between 2003 and early 2004 before being approached by Mighty Mouse to play her first formal gig in July 2004 at the former Municipal Cafe for 100% High Octane. She received rave reviews for her debut set thus quickly becoming a dj with constant bookings for her unique sound and bold stage presence.

It was after that experience, in August of 2004 that another chance encounter with another fellow D+B dj in the area, Torrential would lead to a musical revolution in the City of Hartford. And this revolution was a monthly called THRESHOLD, which would feature the sounds of not only Jungle, D+B but also reggae, dub and breakbeats which had a hand in the creation of the music they loved so much. This monthly event which features fresh sounds of music has been going for almost 4 years now, not only showcases artists and dj's (both established and unknown) from all over New England, the Northeast and beyond, but also provides music education and understanding to this electronic dance music culture that is misunderstood by many. And loving this sound as much as she does, it gives her great satisfaction to know that more people to this day are falling in love with it as she did 10 years ago.

In addition to being co-creator and resident of THRESHOLD, Miz-Eyesis has gone on to become a member of BMC Empires founded by St. Dirty which merged with THRESHOLD in 2006, Awake Productions founded by Meszenjah based out of CT. In 2007 she then joined Team Ewok by 3001 based out of NYC, and New England Rave Union by DJ Identity out of Maine. She also works on side projects with many other female djs showcasing that they are not just girls with records, and maintains a consistently busy schedule performing at memorable events in CT, MA, RI, VT, ME, MD, PA, NJ, NY state and NYC by crews such as Atari Safari, COK, Sister NYC, Simply Bangin, Cybergroove, 1Luv, Abstract Trax, Massive Audio, Volume, Muck Crew, True, Floorburnerz, Tru Skool, just to name a few. She has also played at and other well known EDM and/or Drum and Bass events such as Konkrete Jungle, Dream I <3 DNB and Basscamp Sessions in NYC; Fluid in Northampton MA; Energy in RI; BUMP in New Haven, CT; The Ride in Baltimore, MD; and many internet and college radio station broadcasts as well as festivals and charity events. 2008 also brought Miz-Eyesis to the internationally known Winter Music Conference in South Beach, Miami where she rocked crowds for the the first time, definitely placing herself further in a class by herself! And just recently in the Summer of 2008, Miz-Eyesis along with several dj's from New England joined the Konkrete Jungle chapter based out of New Haven, CT and DNBC (Drum and Bass Coalition) led by Dj HoKilla, further pushing jungle and DNB in her area and beyond!

Miz-Eyesis' skills have also been requested at events alongside dj's, artists, and musicians such as J Majik, Simon Bassline Smith, Afrika Bambataa, Hive, Freaky Flow, Shortee, Reidspeed, Annalyze, Empress, DB, DJ Monk, Breakage, Ewun, Spor, Dara, Paul C, Cassien, Liondub, Human?, Tester, Archive, Telemetric, Punisher, Femme Fetale, Heather Heart, Bassbin Twins, Uberzone, Danny the Wildchild, Frankie Bones, Terry Mullan, TJR, D:Fuse, Donald Glaude, Q Burns Abstract Message, Dave Russell, DJ Hyper, Icey, Bam Bam, DJ Irene, Venom, Skylab2000, Biodiesel, Psylab, Otherwise and other well known and respected artists and musicians.

"I'm not going anywhere, this is a big part of my life and the fire will keep burning. This music and what it has done for my life amazes me to this day... You better believe, there will definitely be tons of future chapters from me, stay tunned!"

Baby from Brothers Free Collection by Michael Lau
I am an Aries... All makes sense if you know me
Isis, the Egyptian goddess, is considered by many to be the absolute ultimate, and she is referred to as "The Mother of All Goddesses". Isis was an goddess who was the most caring ruler. The mighty Isis served her people as a midwife and physician, teacher and friend. The goddess Isis was such a well-rounded and complete woman that she was called "She of Ten Thousand Names". Her awesome powers, which included the resurrection of her husband, were recognized in the titles of "The Giver of Life" and "Goddess of Magic".

Paragraph is courtesy of www.goddessgift.com

I love this action figure, she is called "Baby" from the Brothersfree Workers collection...
Kind of looked like me when I had red hair in a cartoonish way :)

Hey Miz-Eyesis™.. Since you're my friend, I know you are a fan of musicianship, artistry and real music in general.. Over the past few months, I've been working from a remote location to put together some really memorable tracks. I'm on the mic as well as the tracks this time around, blending spoken word and metal over hip hop beats. As you may know, I've been doing tracks for over 11 years and have a reputation for producing some of the most creative records in the underground. I represent the next era in modern music and if you want to know what that sounds like, check out soundpulse.com. There are a few instrumentals on the myspace profile, but the majority of my work will be at soundpulse.com. I'm asking you shoot me a message, let me know what you think of the material and I'll be happy to return the favor. Hope all's going well for you. Peace.
