Formed in July 2008.. by the infamous The Hammer of Folk, and equally unfamous Eurarde Borgwah, the Modern Trash Quartet strive to encompass everything that is, was and never will be in modern musical expression.. but thats ok - you can't have everything in life.....
Generally speaking a self critique of The Hammer of Folk (Zimm Roberts, The Hammer of Folk) brings a degree in explicity and angst, while Borgwah (Burning Monks, Hound, Sudden Tan Air Hostesses) puts forth a more introspective and soulful diploma. Sometimes tongue in cheek sometimes deeply serious, the duo originally aimed to evolve into a full quartet... however they soon realised two was more than enough.
For both, the learning curve of the project serves as a mechanism to portray past compositions and also help to create new individual and co-authored material as well. Additionally, the multimedia potential of live performance serves as a vehicle for furthering the film making interests of both.
