On April 11th at Mono Park in the Airport District of Modesto Ca, two volunteers with Modesto Needle/Syringe Exchange were cited and charged with illegal distribution of clean syringes to users (specifically California health and safety code) in order to help stop the spread of Hepatitis C and HIV through the sharing of syringes, which has become a crises in Stanislaus County.
On June 11th we went to court and waived our time to be extended for Attorneys.
This coming Thursday July 9th we will be in court again and ask that you come in solidarity and support for us. No one should be punished for trying to do the right thing.

About this page: I have been very active in Domestic Violence causes all of my adult life. I noticed a need in the world pertaining to Same Sex Domestic Violence. It happens more than people know. Unfortunately there are a number of gay people who barely consider themselves worthy or valued as a gay person much less a Domestic Violence Victim. There are also very limited resources, statistics, or information, for Same Sex Domestic Violence. Hopefully through empowerment and education we can change some of this. :D

DAM has the honor of playing 2 different benefit shows this weekend.The first show takes place on Saturday,May 2nd at Grizzly Rock in Turlock,located at 4905 Golden State Blvd.This show will be a benefit for the family of C.J. Garcia,who passed away at the young age of 20.DAM will play at 9 pm.This is also an all ages show,with admission set at $10,and under 12 gets in for free.The lineup is DAM,Soup,Matty Colmer and the experience,Wicked Hickie,Not An Airplane,Hickory,and a rumored appearance by a surprise local valley favorite.
