The band, comprised of RC (vocals), Shockk (guitar), Johnny Wildkat (bass), and a host of supporting drummers is like a midnight ride on a blue unicorn hurtling towards the sun. Their musical approach combines the vicious kiss of bands like The Stooges or early AC/DC with transcendent progressive musical
insight ala Rush or Bad Brains. Popular contemporary sonic peers include My Bloody Valentine and Arctic Monkeys.
Like the creature they are named after, this vicious little band will tear into you and have the blood of rock flowing through your veins before you even know what time it is.
Since it's release of 'White Plastic Deer' in 2003, Mongoose has been rippin' up floors and stages all over the country. Their newest release 'Are You On My Side' comes out on Meter Records Nov 2009.
The latest Goose recording is set to be released Nov 2009 by Meter Records.
