Moot's music combines the fire of South America with the effortless elegance of a starry night. Their unique sound is crafted through an intoxicating blend of voices, tenor saxophone, flute, electric cello, electric guitar and percussion.
This Brisbane-based four piece have been busy recently with the release of their debut album ‘Dead Fly’. Captured live in the studio, the tracks are mostly 1st takes and are testament to the musicality of the ensemble.
Regulars on Triple J and 4ZZZ radio, Moot has performed at a range of festivals and venues including: Woodford Folk Festival 2006/7, Brisbane Festival 2005 and 2006, 2high Festival 2005 and 2006, The Troubadour, Brisbane Powerhouse and The Tivoli.

thanks for letting me steal your fabulous sax player and drummer for a weeks touring in nsw. Josh and Dave are fantastic musicians and knocked quite a few sox off!! and man do they work hard! not only a week of gigging, mega-rehearsing, but add in a 14hour day in the studio and completing 4 songs for my next album. not only that - they gave my current album release one whale of a launching! awesome, mates!! can we do it again, PLEASE?!
