Mountropolis was developed to feature friends’ Music and Art of different genres under one project name. I also wanted to bring more of an urban vibe into the mountains of colorado where I make my home base and have my studio these days.
When I was starting Mountropolis, the main audience of focus was individuals who didn't think they liked certain types of these things because lack of exposure or because the exposure they received was a poor example. For instance, I started the Mountropolis radio show to consciously play music that people might think they didn't like and threaded them together to take them on a journey, also landing the best dj's in the country to host the show. The music mostly consisted of electronic mixed with world, house, drum & bass, hip hop, heavy dub sounds along side jazz and techy flavors with anything else I found interesting like experimental music, disco, funk, you name it!
Now, as Mountropolis is building momentum, we're more determined then ever to feature many artists and things we think are cool . Stay tuned…
