What began with Drum’n’Bass and TripHop in 1996 in a town called Oldenburg in the northwest of Germany has become an institution. Since 2001 m.path.iq (say: empathic) now spreads his vibes in Berlin and all over Europe. His openminded and unpretentious way to play the so called Eclectic Freestyle (he simply calls his mixture that combines Funk, Soul, Jazz, Latin and Afro with modern clubbeats from House to Drum'n'Bass, from MashUps to Boogie and Detroit and from HipHop to Broken Beats so clever, that it rocks your soul, your mind and your hips at the same time, Advanced Clubbeats & Rare Grooves.) always reaches those who still know how to celebrate for real. For m.path.iq the most important things are the soul and the groove of the music and a party culture, that gives the chance to everyone to realise that they are THE PARTY and don’t need one dancefloor command after the other. Word!
His diverse works in Berlin help him to be updated with the hot nu stuff, even though he knows about timeless good music. His own event series “We Are...” (Lovelite, Bohannon), New Forms (PrivatClub, Fire Club) and BreakbeatCity (Maria, Café Moskau), his writings for the both german key-mags for electronic music (De:Bug and Groove) and the best Jazz magazine Jazzthing and his work in the background for Oye Recordstore always keep him in the middle of something and make the records (strictly vinyl!) rotate inside of his box.
Beside that he runs New Forms PR and does promotion for Compost, Lounge, Etage Noir and others... And guess what: It is still big fun!
