well there is no album yet but this is how it will probably sound like: kraftwerk meets jesus and marychain meets giorgio moroder meets suicide meets arling & cameron meets Schönberg...and some softrock as well because our neighbour likes it so much...already our tracks "grumpy face" and "goodnight" can be listened to on this page
There is other stuff in the player too: a Francisco van Benthum fashionshow soundtrack that we did.
Karin and Richard Cameron were in a band called Terrorgruppe Schwarzenraben and as Mr. & Mrs. Cameron they're DJing in clubs around the world. Karin has been co-writing lyrics for several projects that Richard is involved in, among others COWGUM. Also together they made and make soundtracks for fashionshows and soundscapes for art exhibitions and they do the occassional art project themselves. They organised the legendary Easy Tune party's in Amsterdam's Roxy club in the 90s and they run a little production company called Drive-in Productions that takes care of business for Arling & Cameron and other projects.
The only thing they haven't done so far is making an album together as Mr.& Mrs. Cameron. It's about time and 2008 might be the year......................................
Projects 2008:
- recordings for first Mr.& Mrs. Cameron album. Our first recording is a remix we did in February for Das Pop's "fool for love". We posted our very first Myspace demo's for the album on June 11th. Check it in the player.
Here's the very first artwork made for our album. It's a video made by Marco Morandi for our song "good night", which will be the last song on the album. Sort of a lullabye...
- Mr.& Mrs.Cameron fashionshow soundtracks for WOLF/Francisco van Benthum and Orson+Bodil. Check one of our WOLF soundtracks in the player. He's doing a show in Paris at June 29th, we'll do the music there as well
Ehm...and now for something completely different. We saw a UFO last year, over our place in Berlin. We'd been watching it for a while and then decided to video it but it was so unspectacular (no scary music, no erratic movements etc) that we sort of forgot about it. Every now and then we showed it to some friends and today we posted it on Youtube.
Judge for yourself. The hi-res version looks better but is much to big to post on Youtube so we have to make do with a mp4.

Today I thought about you again...I found in a recordstore, here in Barcelona, the Korean edition "A & C's Drive-In Years", and I'm feeling nostalgic now, listening to those songs from the Soundshopping era !!! I just love your music so much. Seems no matter what you write I always enjoy it. "Back" album is one of my most listened to albums next to Kid Loco's Kill Your Darlings. Oh and Yello's new album will be out in February. Can't wait for your new album!
