Hello world, my name is Ms. Nickki. I was born and raised in a small country town called Holly Springs, located in North Mississippi. That’s right Im a country girl. Raised in the bible belt, my first time singing was in church. But as I grew into a full grown woman, my love for music grew also. With my envigorating, sassy, soulful style I knew I had to go further. I fell in love with "The Blues" and moved away from home. I found my self in Memphis, Tennessee known worldwide as the Heart of Popular American Music, especially Black American Music namely Blues, Soul (Stax Rec. / Royal Studios (W.Mitchell)), R&B, and Gospel. For the past three years I have been the Lead Female Vocalist at the internationally known and locally beloved " WILD BILL’s BLUES CAFE". It’s the last real live Juke Joint in North Memphis on Vollintine Ave. I’m there every Fri. & Sat. night with The Memphis Soul Survivors (Houseband) and several other local singers including Wesley "White Lightnin’" Taylor. On any given weekend you may find guest musicians from here and overseas like ManU (www.myspace.com/mississippisaxmanu), the French Harmonica Player.
I would love to travel abroad and be able to perform and share my soulful gift with the world. Europe and France I hear you calling me!
