Mutants on Parade is a weekly Radio show on CKDU 88.1fm in Halifax Nova Scotia. Its on every Friday from 8:00-9:30pm (Atlantic Standard time) you can also listen to it on line (althought that isn't as cool) at http://www.ckdu.ca
This is the only weekly metal radio show in Halifax so I try to represent the wide array of styles that fall under the umbrella of what we call metal, althought I tend to lean more towards the underground and seeing as I'm an aging headbanger I'm really into the old school!
A little about your Host Randy 'Crust' Jeddry
I was born in a country that no longer exists in a hospital that has been torn down in a town in the middle of the Black forrest (Lahr, West Germany)(no shit I didn't make that up)!
I Grew up in Quebec at CFB Valcartier then moved to a shitty little town outside of Halifax Ns. I guess living in Germany and then Quebec is what made me so into metal!
I've played bass in Thy Flesh Consumed which I also set up shows for we did two tours when I was in the band going as far west as any maritime band at that time, culminating at playing at the Northern Lights fest '04.
I also played for Despot, with Jason Lawlor of Burning Moon and Jason Macivor of Sloth and Tony Candelora who was in the original line up of Terratomb,
and in high school i was in a band named Odium with Pete Mortenson and Pete Green Shay Cuvlier and Kirk Martin, Kirk was a founding Member of
Chaos Panic and Disorder and in 91 I was in a band named Matrix yes before the movie! The only other member of that band still around in the scene is Bob Dorion now in Janus.
I did a previous Incarnation of this show from 96-99 on sunday nights from 12-2am then in an earlier time slot (10:30-midnight) I did the same show but it was named Helldriver.

Thanks a lot for the add ! EletriKa sounds completely different from any Metal band you have ever heard. The Brazilian rhythms and the Portuguese language added to the songs makes its style unique, giving birth to a new kind of Metal. If you are really looking for something new about Metal, you should check EletriKa out!
Ya dude, there is me and Jason that have shows at CIFA right now and a guy named Nathan that does some classic rock. Next year I plan to go to Waterfront Campus to take Radio & Television Arts. Maybe I should come on the show if I get accepted there.
