BALFOR who explore themes from their countries’ warrior past, have recently finished recording “Barbaric Blood” which will be the band’s first full-length album, and a follow up to their 2006 “Pure Barbaric” EP, and are currently looking for a label. They also recently a recorded a cover version of SATYRICON’s “K.I.N.G” for the “Dominions of Satyricon” tribute CD released on Empire Records.

BELPHEGOR CHECKS IN FROM THE ROAD "Alright...what a strong tour, each day packed and crowded venues, alot of die hard demons with passion and fire for Metal attend these shows. Besides that, it's an honour for BELPHEGOR to share stages with Thrash legends EXODUS and KREATOR. We headed back to Canada a couple of days ago and have played about 14 shows so far. 23 convents are left on this run. So be warned friends, better show up early, some start around 7pm, get your Fleisch in the venues to celebrate total Krieg with us. Hail chaos - hail death!"
RECORDING UPDATE FROM THE STAGE ONE STUDIOS PT.II Demons are you ready for the next chapter? After two weeks of being in the studio, working very intensely, here is another update.
Helmuth states about the progress: "Hi all, just returned from the 2nd studio session, completed all rhythm guitars and Serpenth laid down the bass lines. The nine sound collages started to show their grim face and i can say we..re pretty damn pleased, totally blown away by the evil atmosphere. All sound more epic than ever, with lots of cold, haunting melodies, we also added a lot of new elements/ structures to our sound."
The band shot some photos during the recordings. The 3rd session in Stage One Studios takes place from 21.-27. March, more activities to come.

YOG-SOTHOTH FINALLY AVAILABLE!!! Within the darkness dwells evil yet to be revealed… The latest creation of Ioannes Aurelius Serpentor is a 25 minutes EP entitled “Yog-Sothoth". The album was traditionally recorded at Vatican Cellars Studio (Silesia) and is a homage for the most terrifying creature of Ye Old Ones – the uncanny Yog-Sothoth. And that’s not all. The EP contains two previously unrealeased tracks from the “Withering Hopes” session as a BONUS!!!

CREATIVE PROCESS UPDATE FOR ALBUM III Following the success of 'Decrowning the Irenarch', a number of people have been asking about the next Spearhead album. For those that are interested, we envisage entering the studio to record Album III sometime in 2010. Interested labels are advised to get in touch immediately! We can confirm that the writing process for the next album has begun, and are pleased to provide a preliminary introduction to the lyrical thematic of our forthcoming release:
The third album will follow on logically and chronologically from "Decrowning the Irenarch"; but the philosophy of the importance of war will remain a foundation. ....
The mythos of every great civilization has considered the end of days and the decline of civilisation; best recorded in the Classical, the Germanic, and the Classical Hindu mythos. In stark contrast with the modern Western myth of progression, the civilisations of the ancient world espoused that time is cyclical, not linear; starting from the very beginning with an Age of Gold, which over the course of incalculable centuries declines to a state of societal and human decay. ...What is the role of war then, in the Last Age, in particular when that Age is already in the entropic throes of death? Not to maintain civilisation, as was its role in the ancient and medieval world, but to impel the rate of destruction; to join forces with the destructive blade of time in order to usher in the new age of reborn creation. Only when the great cycle is complete can both gods and men return to a new Golden Age.
