HYDRA BIOGRAPHY
Maybe, almost people don't know form of evolution about HM bands You know, almost people don't need changes but, if it can change by self, it will have reached a dead end. It's just like to wait for slow die. So, strong personality will search for new horizon to do survive. HYDRA, they are searching for form of evolution in 1991 still now. This is the one form of evolution about heavy metal!!!
HYDRA created by Akihiko Yamada (Guitar). They had searched for new style sound. HYDRA began to perform at Osaka in 1992 April.
Soon, Takayoshi Kakuya (Drums) joined in HYDRA. Beginning of chemical change. February 1995, Sumio Tamai (Vocals) joined in HYDRA.
August, they performed at Osaka with this line up.
This is beginning of evolution. September, HYDRA made three songs 3rd demo tape "HYDRA3". They sold it 1000pieces in Japan.
October, they performed at Tokyo, Nagoya. Their gig won the highest praise from HM kids.
March 1996, HYDRA auditioned new bassist.
Long stormy audition, they decided new bassist. Toshiyuki Nishida joined in band. And HYDRA recorded two songs for new material.
In September 1997, HYDRA began to record to make first full CD album.
In October, compilation album "KILL'EM ALL FAKIN' METALS 2"(ULTIMET NETWORK .Tokyo) was released. HYDRA joined in it one song. This song was called "ANGER". "KILL'EM ALL 2" gigs performed at Tokyo, Osaka. In February 1998, Toshiyuki Nishida withdrew band. They auditioned new bassist. They made many songs in the term.
In Jury, they decided new bassist. Kazuya Inui joined in HYDRA. He was only beginner bassist.
After scrupulous rehearsal, in November, under their sponsorship, Heavy Metal event named "NIGHT FLYERS HM MADNESS GIG" began to start at Osaka".
In April 1999, they finished recording for debut CD.
They had played many festivals.
In September, their debut CD was released. It was named "EXHIBITION OF MALICE" (Obsidian Factory Records OBF0001). Ten songs 64min it was made under concept "Malice, antitheses".
In April 2001,Takayoshi Kakuya withdrew band.
In August 2002,Tatuya Takeyari (ex:Blasdead) joined in band.
In 2004,Tatuya Takeyari withdrew band.
In 2006,Takayoshi Kakuya joined in HYDRA again. Compilation album “Samurai metal Vol.2”was released.(Samurai sound association) They joined in it 1 song. This song was called "Children Of Sun".
In 2008, HYDRA finished to record 2nd full lens CD album.
And, evolution keeps on moving・・・
