   About Nigel Stonier
Nigel Stonier is much in demand as a producer, songwriter and musician; he has worn the above musical hats in various combinations whilst working with a vast range of artistes including Thea Gilmore, Mike Scott and the Waterboys, Clare Teal, Martha Wainwright, John Bramwell (I Am Kloot), Fairport Convention, Sandi Thom, Lindisfarne, Rod Clements, Paul Young, Kathryn Tickell, Brian Houston, Erin Rocha, Robbie McIntosh and countless others.

Recent and current projects include production of the debut albums for Australian rocker Corrie James and Colchester based acoustic band Aloneme.

Nigel is a producer/collaborator with a natural ear for a great song and huge amounts of insight and vitality to bring to a recording session. He is also known as a brilliant arranger, and a great motivator and coaxer of winning performances from artistes.

He plays guitar, keyboards and bass, also mandolin, ukelele, dulcimer and assorted string instruments... parallel to his collaborations with other artistes he has released three solo albums “Golden Coins For The Holy Kid”,”English Ghosts” and “Brimstone And Blue”. He has a series of chart and radio successes to his credit both as producer and writer, and he also composed music for last years smash hit Brit comedy movie “Confetti”.

His likes include cats and all independent spirits, cricket and the colour yellow.

He is afraid of the dark, reality TV and computers.

He is open to suggestions.

Hello! Cheers for the spot at Words and Music today and sorry I didn't manage to get to the other events. I must plan better for next year - kicking myself that I didn't make it to a Thea gig so close to home! Hope you're pleased with how it all went and there'll be many more to come! Dayve :-)

Hello Nigel,
thanks for the add. All the very best for this week-end. I take it you will be part of the musical entertainment tonight so if we don't see you before "drums roll" then have a great gig....on home turf as well....should be a 'stormer'. Be well and have a fabulous time.

Roger.

hello nigel, how are you? we have pretty much finished the humanitarians album now, im doing the last weird noises and stuff today.
you have no idea how much the dum-dum-dum-dum-Ga technique has haunted me on the end of hard time to be free. everytime we play it live i hear that in my head.
thanks... what have you been up to?

'Dabbers' eh??.....hmmmmmm, I remember as a lad in Evesham that we used to get sherbert tubes with a stick of licquorice that was the 'dabber' for the sherbert. Any sherbert manufacturing there in the past?? Licqourice??...just a thought!!!

Hope Thea and Egan are both well and it looks on the cards to comeup and see Thea play on the 9th.....you too, no doubt....really looking forward to it!!! Will she be having a full band outing or just acoustic??

Have a great week Nigel...

Roger.

Hey Nigel !
Stunning productions on the Katy Lied and the Liejacker albums !
Even the softest songs on Late Arrival reminds me of Eagles when they were a band
travelling on the same plane before the big money kicked in.

Cheers

Hi Nigel,

Hope you're well.

I notice that you guys are playing at Glastonbury on the Saturday night. The choir is opening the Jazz World Stage on the Sunday. I was wondering if this might be the opportunity we have been looking for to collaborate?

Some of the choir could possibly come a day early if you thought it was feasible. What do you think?

It appears that Liejacker (CD) has escaped early. This is Thea's finest album by far. 'When I Get Back To Shore' is gonna be a live favourite I'm sure. Congratulations on a wonderful album.
