Northern Kings can without a doubt be
called an all-star line-up of Finnish metal.
The group is not an ordinary band,
but a league of four vocalists, who are all frontmen of successful heavy metal
bands. They wanted to create something special together and came up with an idea
of arranging 80's classics to metal versions - to which all the four vocalists could contribute. It is not anymore far beyond imagination how it would sound like if Marco Hietala from Nightwish, Tony Kakko from Sonata Arctica, JP Leppäluoto from Charon and J Ahola from Teräsbetoni sang together. It is real!
The tracks from the debut album "Reborn" include legendary pieces such as "We Don't Need Another Hero" by Tina Turner, "I Just
Died In Your Arms Tonight" by Cutting Crew, "In The Air Tonight" by Phil Collins,
"Brothers In Arms" by Dire Straits and "Sledgehammer" by Peter Gabriel.
Hey! Just wanted to say I think it was a great idea all 4 of you getting together to record such an amazing album. I'm a major fan of Nightwish & Sonata Arctica and it is pure genius. Great job. Can't wait for the album to be released in the UK! You should all do a special tour sometime :p I'm sure myself, and others, would love it ^_^
