The Salem Chiptune, Electronica and Noise Extravaganza (S.C.E.N.E) is a multi-day event that will combine an eclectic mix of dj's and live electronic music from local artists and designers. The festival’s purpose, in the words of organizer Scott Buchanan, is: “to showcase the amazing talent right here in Salem and the North Shore and to give a stage to some new music that might otherwise be overlooked by the mainstream.” This event is a celebration of the artists, DJs, designers and musicians that are helping Salem emerge as a center for cutting-edge arts and music and will take place at a series of venues across Salem, MA in early fall of 2010.
