Chi sono: The Not Your Soldier Project organizes to shut down the military invasion of our schools, our communities and our future. We are committed to creating positive alternatives to militarism. We believe that young people can and will stop war abroad and the war at home by ending military recruitment and the poverty draft.

As forces in American government and media have fueled the feeling of an unavoidable war with Iran, Warring Factions is a call to (dis)arms. By combining both documentary and experimental techniques, the film will explore the meaning of Iranian American national, ethnic, and religious identities as a way to humanize the conflict between nations before the event of a devastating war.

We here at Replacements Needed have been busy as of late. We have been hearing back from supporters in Canada whom are interested in joining and/or helping to sponsor the Caravan to DC in October. We have heard back from some of you concerning vans, buses and other such vehicles that can be utilized for the trip. If you have a vehicle that you are wanting us to use or you are wanting to make the trip with us we would be happy to meet with you in the near future to discuss logistics and travel plans. We want to remind everyone that the IMF and world Bank meeting in DC from October 19th -21st is a historic event that we can ALL come together for. Whether we be immigrants, indigenous peoples, economists, activists, civil right protesters, anti-war activists, anti corporate globalization activists, peace activists, anarchists, abolitionists, Luddites, revolutionaries or just concerned citizens. It is our responsibility as citizens of this fair planet to express our concerns over the direction those who control the resources and the wealth are taking our planet and our civilizations. It is our duty as humans to stand together and to let our voices be heard by those in power. It is our right as Americans to shut DC down and to let them know that Seattle's WTO experience can and will be duplicated each and every time the wealthy and powerful meet behind closed doors to decide how to more efficiently and effectively squeeze more profit from our great green and blue mother Earth. If not us who? If not now when? Viva La Revolution! See you on the barricades.
Dear Violet: letter from a desert grave, by N. Sigafoos, has been sent to the eight leading Democratic candidates for President. Along with the novella, which chronicles the life and death of a lesbian American soldier, candidates received a survey of ten yes-or-no questions regarding issues such as the Iraq War, Don't Ask-Don't Tell, and gay marriage.
The author challenges the candidates to have the courage to make a definitive statement about these issues by responding to the survey. The results will be publicized at www.sigwit.com, and shared with the press in order to help guide the decisions of over 4 million GLBT voters, countless GLBT supporters & allies, and all Americans who value peace and justice.
The proposed Iraqi oil law would take the majority of Iraq's oil out of the exclusive hands of the Iraqi government and open it to international oil companies for a generation or more. The law is the smoking gun revealing the oil agenda behind the Iraq war. It is what the war was for.
