Brainstorm was founded in 1989 by Milan Loncaric, Torsten Ihlenfeld and Dieter Bernert. Andreas joined in 1992, and after the first two albums, in 1999 Symphorce singer Andy B. Franck joined the band. Each album, each festival performance and each tour have been a step up in terms of quality and success, leading to the first headliner tour in 2005 in support of "Liquid Monster".
After 2 1/2 years of wait, BRAINSTORM have recorded their long awaited new album "Downburst" with producers Sascha Paeth and Miro, which was released in January 2008. And BRAINSTORM is stronger than ever. "Downburst" will not only satisfy the needs of their followers, it will surprise many and even convince the non-believers! All songs show the incredible songwriting talent of the band members and prove once more why this band has been up and running for over a decade now and for sure is here to stay! The songs range from fast, hard and double-kick-driven bastards to epic soundscapes to melodic metal hymns. "Downburst" is a beautiful beast, a real ball of steel but also an emotional masterpiece with no fillers... just killers!

war gestern ein Klasse Konzert in der Rockfabrik. Zu meiner Schande muß ich gestehen, daß ich Euch noch nie LIVE gehört/ gesehen habe - was sich aber nun ändern wird ;-) Andy, Dir wünsche ich ne Gute Besserung und noch viel Spaß bei Euren anstehenden Konzerten.
