The Old Bay Ceili Band plays Irish Traditional dance music in a local Maryland style that has roots in the music of Clare and East Galway. Comprised of the state's top young Irish musicians, it evidences the presence of a vibrant local Irish community that, although steeped in Ireland's musical tradition, is founded in customs and culture of Maryland. In August 2008, the Old Bay represented Maryland in the senior ceili band competition at the Fleadh Cheoil na hÉireann, the world competition of Irish Traditional music, completing a six-month fundraising and concert tour that saw them at venues throughout the Mid-Atlantic states... .. .. ......The Official OBCB Swag Store...... .. .. .. .. .. .. ......
