Special Omar Calibration Dubplates
We just wanted to announce we are going to release some super-collector special exclusive limited... maybe only 5 of these likkle analog dubplates (one-time cut record thanks to our special friends at http://myspace.com/turnstylerecords) with a special short N2O Records analog to analog direct to disc mini-mix edit of some of the songs from Calibration. We will have a cutting session before we leave to Tokyo 11/28/07 to promote the Calibration-celebration in Japan and have the dubs ready for you all to add to your complete-ist super-collection, get ready Calibrate on this one! More details to come.
As we prepare for "Calibration's" international release, here is the basic album information in several languages. We'll try to keep adding more languages Spanish of course, Portugese etc.

Calibration (is Pushing Luck and Key Too Far) è l'imminente album solista di Omar Rodriguez, il primo con sonorità rock/elettroniche. CD, LP e download digitale saranno pubblicati il 15 dicembre 2007 in Giappone e a Febbraio-Marzo 2008 in USA, Regno Unito ed Eurpa dalla N2O Records, etichetta indie underground americana specializzata in drum'n'bass, J-Pop, turntable, metal jungle, hip-hop west coast, reggae e dubstep.
La decisione di far pubblicare Calibration da questa etichetta è scaturita dall'incontro tra Omar e Nate"N8loc"Shimizu della N2O Records, amico di lunga data di Juan Alderete, bassista dei Mars Volta. "Siamo entrambi appassionati di hard drum break, musica elettronica "dura" e e dello stile analogico vecchia scuola, con cui sono stampati tutti i tipi di vinili colorati rari. Il concept di Omar per questo album composto da 2 parti è uno scritto originale che si adatta perfettamente al sound che stiamo diffondendo. State attenti per qualche all-star, produttori e artisti, sui 2 album" dice Shimizu.
Per completare l'originalità dell'album, la copertina è stata creata da Grey, artista di San Francisco noto per i suoi graffiti, amico d'infanzia di Omar Rodriguez-Lopez. Inoltre, un eccitante "luck and kay pushing" album con remix di brani di Calibration sarà pubblicato più tardi nel 2008 e vedrà la partecipazione di amici di Omar e artisti dell'etichetta N2O Records.

Calibration (is Pushing Luck and Key Too Far) est le nouvel album solo d’Omar Rodriguez-Lopez, le premier à être orienté rock/electro. Le CD, un LP, et son téléchargement numérique, sortira le 15 décembre 2007 au Japon, et en février/mars 2008 aux USA, au Royaume-Uni et en Europe, grâce aux N20 Records, un label américain indépendant underground, connu pour des batteries et basses lourdes, la J-Pop, des rockstars qui tournent, la jungle métal, le west coast hip hop, le reggae, et le dubstep.
L’album "Calibration" s’établit après que le bassiste des Mars Volta, Juan Alderete, rejoignint Omar et un ami d’enfance, Nate "N8loc Shimizu du label N20 Records. "Nous sommes tous les deux mordus de ponts de batterie lourde, de musique électronique dense et du pressage de disques de façon vielle-école, sur toutes sortes de rares vinyls colorés géniaux. Le concept d’Omar de l’album à deux parties est un travail artistique authentique qui se fond parfaitement dans le son que l’on a annoncé. Guettez les producteurs et les artistes 4 étoiles sur ces deux albums", dit Shimizu.
Afin de compléter l’album authentique, l’art de sa couverture fut créé par l’artiste renommé de graffiti de San Fransico, GREY, un ami d’enfance de Rodriguez-Lopez. Un album passionant, "luck and key pushing" suivra, rassemblant des remixes des chansons de l’album par des amis d’Omar et des artistes du N20 Records, qui sortira plus tard en 2008.

"Calibration (is Pushing Luck and Key Too Far) é o próximo rock/electrónico album a solo do Omar Rodriguez-Lopez. O cd,o LP e o download digital estará pronto a ser lançado no dia 15 de Dezembro no Japão e entre Fevereiro e Março de 2008 nos Estados Unidos e em Inglaterra-Europa pela editora N20 Records, uma editora americana independente conhecida pela forte aposta nas sonoridades do drum and bass, J-pop, rockstar turntablism,metal jungle, hip hop da costa oeste, reggae e dubstep.
O album "Calibration" encontrou a sua casa depois do baixista de The Mars Volta, Juan Alderete ter apresentado
Omar ao seu amigo de longa data Nate "N8loc" Shimizu da N20 Records. Shimizo diz: " Ambos gostamos de grandes batidas de bateria,musica electrónica da pesada e gravar albums em analógico ao bom estilo da velha guarda nos melhores e mais coloridos vinis raros.
O conceito do Omar na segunda parte do album é realmente uma original peça artística que encaixa perfeitamente no som que
estavamos a construir. Prestem atenção a alguns dos melhores produtores e artistas nos dois albuns".
Para completar o album original, a capa foi criada pelo conhecido e reconhecido artista de graffitis Grey de São Francisco, um amigo de infância do Rodriguez-Lopez.

Calibration nació despues de que el bajista de The Mars Volta, Juan Alderete, hizo que Omar Rodriguez conociera a un viejo amigo llamado Nate "N8loc" Shimizu de N20 Records. "Ambos amamos las piezas de tambores duros, la musica electronica y hacer discos de la manera analoga vieja, todo en diferentes y geniales acetatos de colores. El concepto de Omar del album de 2 partes es una pieza original que encuadra perfectamente el sonido que producimos. Calibration (is Pushing Luck and Key Too Far) is the forthcoming debut rock/electronic fueled solo record from Omar Rodriguez-Lopez. The CD, LP and digital download is set to be released on December 15, 2007 in Japan and in February-March 2008 in the US and UK & Europe through N20 Records an underground American indie label known for hard hitting drum and bass, J-pop, rockstar turntablism, metal jungle, west coast hip hop, reggae and dubstep.
The "Calibration" album found a home after Mars Volta bassist Juan Alderete linked up Omar and longtime friend Nate "N8loc" Shimizu of N2O Records. "We both are into hard drum breaks, heavy electronic music and pressing records old school analog style, on all kinds of rare dope colored vinyl. Omar's concept of the 2 part album is an original artistic piece that fit perfectly into the sound we've been breaking. Look out for some all-star producers and artists on the 2 albums," says Shimizu.
To complete the original album, the cover art was created by renowned San Francisco graffiti artist GREY, a childhood friend of Rodriguez-Lopez. An exciting "luck and key pushing" follow-up album featuring remixes of songs from the album will be released later in 2008 featuring Omar's friends and artists from the N2O Records roster.
