Sounds Like“The rock quartet is on fire… and could be on its way to becoming a headliner.” -TMZ.com

“Pale is definitely on the verge of big things” -Wayne Kramer, MC5

“Calvin is a friend of mine and Houston should be proud to claim a band like Pale.” -Win Butler, Arcade Fire

“They put on a great show…definitely a major label prospect.” -David Katznelson, CEO and President, Birdman Records

“Pale has a true mainstream national appeal. A band that always puts on a big rock show whether playing a small club or theatre.” -David Cobb, Envy Magazine

“’Here’ is a great record. It gets stronger with every listen” -Mitch Burman, Scott Stapp Band

“Exceptional songwriting. I can’t help but smile at how truly original Pale has become.” -Janet Wilson, Dallas Observer

“Moody and often marvelous” -Joey Guerra, Houston Chronicle

"ENVY national pick of the month" -Envy Magazine March 2007

Lately, the indie rock band Pale cannot help but get noticed. Pale has spent the last several years honing their trademark blend of passionate melodies and explosive, guitar fueled choruses. As a result, the band has received impressive media attention, industry accolades, and invitations for several high-profile live performances, including opening for the likes of Depeche Mode, Rodger Waters, and Frank Black, and appearing on the television show ‘Extra!’

The band’s cohesive medley is completed with the honest songwriting and perfect chemistry between vocalist Calvin Stanley, guitarist Robb Moore, bassist Stephen Wesson, and drummer Travis Middour. Stanley’s powerfully emotive vocals are vaguely reminiscent of a Thom Yorke/Rob Dickinson hybrid, yet he creates a sound all his own. Pale belongs in every rock aficionado’s music collection.

Their new 2007 EP, ‘Mandatory Ambulance’, has just begun to garner attention as an impressive follow-up to their 2005 full-length debut album ‘Here’.

Darron

Mar 21 2009 3:36 PM

I wanted to drop by and thank you for adding me! I'm a huge supporter of local and national music acts in the Detroit area. My latest venture is a weekly music blog, called Darron to be Different, which has a twist on traditional music magazines and blogs. The Road Trips column allows bands to write up their stories about being on the road, making records or talk about their life in the industry. From The Crowd allows fans, DJs, record labels or anyone else with an interest in music to speak their mind about a topic.

This week's blog will include "The Shane" from Swirl talking about life on the road with The Bulletboys - and filling in for one night only! It also includes Dean Morrison's column discussing what it's like To Lead A Revolution through his Saturday Night Revolution radio show. Please feel free to check this new issue out Sunday and spread the word!

thanks again for the add!

Looking forward to seeing you perform live at NY/NY tonight!

Once posted, please use the blog comments to promote your services!

Darron to be Different March 22nd blog:
* Road Trips: Shane Carlson, bassist for Swirl, talks about touring with The Bullet Boys - and how he had a chance to fill in for them!
* Truth or Darron: My column will talk about how Twitter is a great way for bands to reach out and touch everyone
* From The Crowd: Dean Morrison discusses the Saturday Night Revolution and encourages you to be a part of it!
* The Six Pack: We're not talking abs here. I'll pick six different music groups to feature with links to their myspace pages and what songs you should check out!
* Post, Boast & Toast : For every person that comments the Darron to be Different blog in March, you receive entry to WIN a signed CD from Tragic Orange. It costs nothing but a comment!
