In 2005, after several years of intensive writing and recording spent away from the live circuit, Anna and Simon started performing as Parry:Matthews using technology to create the layers of sound that make their recordings stand out..... By summer 2006 Parry:Matthews had recruited singer/songwriter/guitarist ..Rob Phillips.., bass player ..Neil Swift.. and drummer ..Tom Hammond.. and were gigging and recording as a full working band. Anna and Simon felt that while the name Parry:Matthews suited them when performing as a duo, it wasn't representative of the band they had become so in 2007 they re-christened themselves ..Fabric.... www.myspace.com/fabricsounds..... Anna and Simon will play occasional live dates as Parry:Matthews and those will be listed on this page but all the new recordings will be as Fabric... .. ..Simon Matthews.. is a producer in his own right and has worked with ..James Rays Gangwar, Matt Wescott, The Otherfolk, Jim Ollier, Savanna, Sirius B, Red Light Go, Rob Phillips, 25men, The Boxroom..... .. ..Rob Phillips.. has now left the band to concentrate on his solo career.
