Pathfire makes lost love and dreams deferred sound like something that actually feels good. Whether it's an acoustic lament or a rolling melody, Nathan Collins (vocals, guitars) and Sean Titone (keyboards, background vocals) walk their audience through past mistakes, future hopes and present constraints with musical snapshots of an eclectic experience. Pathfire came into existence in March 2005 after Nathan and Sean bonded over drinks at DBA bar, a cozy watering hole in the East Village in New York City. They have recently graced stages in Manhattan and Brooklyn at Piano's, Pete's Candy Store, Sin-e, The Brooklyn Lyceum, Micky's Blue Room, and Parkside Lounge. Pathfire released their debut EP, Think Out Loud, in May 2007.

from Smother Magazine:
Intelligent Brooklyn mostly acoustic duo is showing that New York City’s anti-folk scene has already begun to expand out into more pop arrangements. Their catchy hooks show off their innate knack for fine-tuning a song’s arrangements while their vocals are on beat. Lyrically it’s relatively typical singer/songwriter fare though “Think Out Loud” can be quite poetic at times.
The Craic Festival 2009 has invited FairplayCollective to play at this years Festival. All members will be playing in the round. The show is at The Mercury Lounge, March 14th at 8pm. This is the last night of the festival and Foy Vance is also on the bill.
What more can I say, a great night for music and film, with the odd star thrown in. Come show your support.

"Just as unhurried as it is precious and reflective. The atmosphere is serene; you’ll pick
every word that is uttered and find a world that normally goes at a million miles an hour
slow to a relaxing canter. "
