  • Bio

Patience Please are a pop band from Seattle, Washington. We are a collaboration between 4 people: Ray Proudfoot (vocals, guitar), Jordan Michelman (bass), Keenan Dowers (rhodes and electric organ, vocals) and Chris McFarlane (drums, vocals). Keenan used to play in a band called Paxil Rose. Jordan played in a whole lot of bands in Tacoma, and wrote and recorded an EP during his sophomore year in high school as Last Flowers till the Hospital. Chris McFarlane has written and recorded material as Suretoss for more than 10 years now, during which time they appeared on more than a dozen compilations and played throughout the northwest. Chris is also the founder of indiepages.com, a former member of Slomo Rabbit Kick, and the high powered CEO of Jigsaw Records. .. .. We wish that we could sound and write songs like these bands-- Elvis Costello and the Attractions, Superchunk, the Magnetic Fields, XTC, the Weakerthans, and lots others. .. ..In April 2006 (National Panda Month) we recorded the "Parallel Plots" ep (but you can ..buy it here..). Guided by the immeasurable producing talents of Jackson Long (Racetrack) and realized at Hear Me Shimmer in Bellingham, this 5 song ep promises to be the best 14 minutes you've had all day. .. .. we've had some nice reviews from the fine folks at www.retrolowfi.com and www.fensepost.com - as well as from Dave Heaton at www.erasingclouds.com - take a look! .. .. In 2006, Patience Please recorded and released an EP through Jigsaw Records. We toured the country, played packed local shows in the northwest for the Vera Project and Three Imaginary Girls, and blushed each time KEXP played us on the radio. In early Spring 2007, we recorded our first LP at the Avast! Recording Co. in Seattle. Our record is called "Fleeting Frequencies" and will be released in Fall 2007 on Happy Happy Birthday To Me Records. We'll be touring the country again this summer, including shows at the Toledo Indie Popfest in late July and a return trip to the Athens Popfest in August. We sincerely hope that you will like our new album when it comes out. .. .. For booking info, contact us via myspace or patiencepleaseband@gmail.com -and please visit our label at www.hhbtm.com .. .. In feast or famine, find us on aol instant messenger at: Jewjewlove .. .. ...... .. .. .. .. .. .. .. ...... ..
