Sounds Like
finding something, then losing it, then finding something again.
a day dream of a day you lived years ago. thinking of something this girl once said to you when both of you sat up all night talking and looking at each other. walking on a beach with your brother drawing masterpieces in the sand and finding strange familiar objects wondering about the boats they fell of off. sitting back thinking about being old and how this will all end up. fighting with a person you love, and finding yourself resenting them for something that seemed very important at the time. reunions. being a child and feeling loss for the first time. learning that not everybody has good intentions. finding out life is cruel but unbelievably beautiful all in one second. train trips. mothers and fathers. The never-ending, ever growing spiral. landscapes. so many faces so many voices. falling in love.
then realizing while you are writing a bio about yourself how much you have experienced in what seems like a very short time. this is my music to me. it is everything. it is all i have to give to you.
hello, my name is paul. my mother taught me piano at 7 and since then i have been caught by the music bug and have become an avid musician/songwriter. i'm now 30 years old and i feel i have finally matured into the kind of musician i have always wished to become. while knowing, i have so much more to learn!
using my influences from tool to seal and just my life on this planet i try to bring an interesting brand of acoustic music to your ears. always being in bands and never branching out to show the world what i have to offer as a solo artist i now have that freedom. i am currently in the studio working on me debut EP. i'll be releasing it in the fall with the help of the master of sound dave filburn and many friends sitting in on various songs. the music you are hearing is from my collection of home recordings from 2005 to current.
in closing, my hope, and partly my reason for making music is for some part of me to live on and echo through the years. i make music to enjoy, to challenge, and to maybe, just maybe inspire someone else to do the same. i hope you enjoy what you hear? thank u & be well.
Also I wanted to keep you in the loop with what is happening with me and my music, and to tell you that you can get tons of exclusive, limited edition Colin Rink merchandise, but only for a limited time, and the clock is ticking! We're talking about videoss, photos, bonus mp3's, set lists, and so much more.
Bonjour Paul Thanks for the friendly add I like your musical universe and your interesting and good sound Best wishes from France (Follow me on twitter.com/pascal95 ) Pascal
Sorry it has taken me so long to write back, thank you for the nice words man- I really like your songs, the production is really good- I appreciate you like the rawness on my recordings but I assure you I'd like a bit more polish on my sound like you have! Cheers Paul, keep up the great work mate : ) Andy
I'm just not much for children, but I'm sure it will change when it actually is mine (still will have a distaste for the little buggers it's friends with, hehe). I'm a bitter woman, Paul! Oh course, though, I'll develop that blind mind of thinking my child is the cutest ;)
Ah, I have been running around like a mad woman lately, but it is entertaining for others to see ;) You enjoying fatherhood thus far? I'm still in my engagement phases, so no babies yet!
