Cat Stevens, Bob Dylan, Paul Simon, Van Morrison, Hoagy Carmichael, and Linda Ellerbee. He doesn't sound anything like Tom Waits, but he often feels like him.

CONVERSATIONS WITH TOM PETTY is by Paul Zollo. He needed Tom Petty to do it. Without Petty it would have been just CONVERSATIONS WITH, which is bad English and also dull. It features interviews he conducted between 2004 and 2005 that focus on the music and life of this legendary songwriter.
