THE BEAUTY AND MAGNIFICENCE OF THE NUDIST LIFESTYLE I consider myself to be a true nudist. I am also an AANR member. True nudism has nothing to do with sex and swinging. The nudist lifestyle has completely changed my life and helped me to accept myself as a beautiful Goddess. Growing up, I was taught by my mom to "cover up" to "hide" ME. As a result, I grew up being ashamed of my body. The nudist lifestyle has helped me to embrace my "imperfections", and to love ME more. Noone is perfect, and in a nudist club it doesn't matter. Actually, I don't even feel nude when I am in a nudist environment. It feels natural for me not to wear clothes.

MY NUDIST TRAVELS

I have been to Glen Eden (member there for 12 years), Lupin in Northern California, Harbin Hot Springs in Northern California, Laguna Del Sol near Sacramento, Willamitans in Oregon, Avalon in West Virginia, Caliente (current member), Paradise Lakes, Lake Como, Gulf Coast (all in Pasco County, FL), Club Orient and 4 Bare Necessities Cruises. My goal is to eventually visit as many nudist and clothing optional resorts all over the world as I can.

CALIENTE RESORT

I have been a member of Caliente Resort in Land O' Lakes, Florida, for 5 years now. Caliente Resort is a beautiful upscale clothing optional resort with a 33 thousand square foot club house. I love socializing with my friends around the pool at Caliente. On weekends at Caliente you see the wholesomeness of families, children and singles enjoying the freedom of no clothes around the pool, playing volleyball, card games, etc. Social nudism is a big part of my life here. In the evening, there is a beautiful nightclub where women usually love to creatively dressed. Since it is a clothing optional club, you will see people in all states of undress. I myself love to creatively dress or undress : - ).

WHEN YOU DRIVE THROUGH THE GATES OF ANY NUDIST RESORT,

the outside "textile" world ceases to exist. You see families and children nude and just enjoying themselves. You might see them socializing around the pool or in the jacuzzi or maybe playing water volleyball or tennis. There are lots of fun activites for the children as well. There is a lot of socializing and very friendly people. Strangers become friends almost immediately. Someone is having a party or a potluck and everyone is invited. There is a dance and maybe a band that we are all looking forward to in the evening or perhaps during the day around the pool. Oh and look, there is the weekly Texas Holdum Card Game going on by the pool. We all have something in common. We are nude, and we have nothing to hide. Lawyers and blue color workers become friends. Everyone is the same in a nudist resort. There is no sexual touching permitted, and you almost NEVER see a man with an erection. It is rare, but if by some off chance that it happens, he wraps himself in a towel or jumps in the pool. I have never seen a man with an erection at a nudist resort. There are people of all different sizes, women with mastectomies and people in wheelchairs. I personally have had seven hernia surgeries (three locations). I call them the scars of life, and I am not bothered in the least by them.

BODY IMAGE FOR WOMEN

The primary reason women don't want to attend a nudist environment is because they are embarrassed by their bodies. Men have their issues too. I want women to know how safe and comfortable this lifestyle can be-especially if you belong to a club like I do. NOONE HAS A PERFECT BODY.

SHOULD YOU TELL YOUR FRIENDS, FAMILY AND COWORKERS? Many people are afraid to tell their friends, families and coworkers. For me, I am not the type that "hides". I am open and communicative. What you see is what you get. I express how I feels. It would have been impossible (for me at least) to hide it from my family, especially my mother. My mother had a dream the very same weekend I went to the nudist resort for the first time (without me telling her). She said she saw me naked in the driveway. I had to laugh. I certainly couldnt hide anything from her. My mother also made me promise not to tell my brothers, but i did anyway. One was horrified, but he got over it. I think my mother thought if I told my brothers it would wear off on them. In the late 90's, I found out through a family friend (that I confided in) that my aunt and uncle (my dad's sister), were nudists. My aunt and uncle had already passed away by then. I was surprised. Apparently, it was a big secret in their family too. I was swarn to secrecy by my mother not to tell our relatives that I was a nudist, so I didn't. Later I found out that my parents KNEW my aunt and uncle were nudists. I recently told an orthodox Jewish friend of the family, and to my surprise she was very supportive. She thought it was wonderful that I had found myself.
