Pinkly Smooth is an american avant-garde metal band, and sideproject of "Rathead" also known as Avenged Sevenfold drummer (The Rev), in which he is the primary vocalist.
The band was formed in the summer of 2001 in Huntington Beach, California, with The Rev (under the name Rathead) as singer, fellow Avenged Sevenfold guitarist Synyster Gates as guitarist and ex-Ballistico members: Buck Silverspur (under the name El Diablo) on bass and D-Rock (under the name Super Loop) on drums.
Since then, the band has released only one album, Unfortunate Snort on Bucktan Records, which features a crossover sound of mostly punk, ska and avant-garde. Former Avenged Sevenfold bassist Justin Meacham was also featured on keyboards and piano on the album, but left the band soon after.
Although the band is on hiatus ever since the release of the album and had never reunited since then, members have hinted on possible works of the band in the future.

PINKLY SMOOTH!
There are many hints that PS's inspiration springs from bands like; Queen, (with their opera-atic vocal harmonies), Meshuggah, (with counter time drumming and guitar riffs), and Danny Elfman, (with Klezmer-like Piano parts from Pee Wee's big adventure).
If you are seriously into heavy metal, and are open to an artistically progressive approach to heavy metal, with vocals that that differ from the voices that exist in metal today, then you should get "Unfortunate Snort," and proceed to bang you head and bounce off the walls!

INSTRUCTIONS FOR DOWNLOADING
PINKLY SMOOTH'S UNFORTUNATE SNORT ALBUM 1. Download a BitTorrent Client. I suggest BitComet but you can go to Wikipedia to find another if you like.
3. Usually you'd copy the Trackers on the page previously mentioned but there's only one so you don't need to, but you can if you want. If there's ever more than one Tracker, copy all of them. I'll tell you what to to with them if you have BitComet. (NOTE: I can't help you if you have any of the other BitTorrent Clients. I don't use those and nor do I know how to add Trackers to the BitTorrents in other BitTorrent Clients.)
4. Click on H33t.com on the previously mentioned Torrentz.com page. Find the download link on H33t.com page and download. You're computer should ask you if you want to open the BitTorrent File with your BitTorrent Client (BitComet if that's what you downloaded) or save the file. Never save the file, always open with your BitTorrent Client.
5. Your BitTorrent Client will open the downloaded BitTorrent File and open a window called "Task Properties". Click ok and your download should start. If it doesn't you probably did something wrong or your internet connection is blocking the BitTorrent Client. I didn't say it'd be all peaches and cream...
FOR BITCOMET USERS 6. I mentioned Trackers earlier, here's what you do with those Trackers. When BitComet opens the "Task Properties" for the download click on the "Advanced" tab and paste all the Trackers into the box. Don't forget to remove anything that's not a Tracker, (i.e. 38 min ago 2 1)

A: There is a 5* guitar tab for Mezmer at Ultimate-guitar.com, but you have to have Guitar Pro installed on your computer. Tux Guitar reads Guitar Pro tabs, which you can get from Cnet.com for free. Beyond that, don't know where to find the rest if they do exsist.

A: They're in the MySpace Music Player, look there. Or you can Google search.
It's a shame Pinkly Smooth only released one album. Unfortunate Snort is such a true stroke of genius! and one my favorite albums I own. Everytime I finish listening to it I instantly want more. (Maybe one day, we'll see a new album, though probably not) well take care & rock on!

What's up with this copyright bullshit with Pinkly Smooth? I think the fans should be able to access the music on myspace, man. I mean, it's music! Good music! And possession is 9/10 of the problem. Surely Jim, Brian, etc don't have an issue with it. I for one bought the record, but I wouldn't have if I hadn't been able to hear it online first.
