We play heavy music. Metalcore, Hardcore, Noisecore, Iloveribscore- please assign the title that makes you the most comfortable. You can go to our website listed on the left for a slightly more comprehensive description of our likes, dislikes, super dislikes and an easy to follow recipe for a pretty decent apple fritter. And no, we don't do the melodic chorus with vocal harmony into totally wicked breakdown thing. Not that there is anything wrong with that. But please keep in mind that if your band does do this, then you have absolutely no justification to make fun of ANY band at any time in the entire scope of the universe... Nope, not even them.
i was hoping that some time we could all sit around and drink beer and remember when we weren't old fucking assholes. oh wait, we've always been assholes.
yes, I know Playing Enemy has gone the way of the dinosaur; but, it must be mentioned: My Life as the Villain is a massive, defiant nail into the coffin. As always amazing stuff. Thank you for providing some of the best Voivod damage that they didn't create. -rennie
The final recorded output of Seattle's 3-piece wrecking unit known as Playing Enemy is now out for pre-order! Formed from the ashes of Nineironspitfire and Kiss It Goodbye, Playing Enemy was highly active, releasing 2 full lengths and a bevy of EPs and seven inches before recording their swan song EP. 5 songs of distorted, warped misanthropic rage, sharp and cutting as ever. Packaged in a neat arigato pack with original art by frontman Demian Johnson. This is a one-time pressing of these final songs. Get it while you can.
The New Scheme #17 is available now! It features: a Small Brown Bike retrospective Akimbo Brent Eyestone (Magic Bullet/Forensics) Will Killingsworth (Ampere/Orchid) Ryan Ferguson (No Knife) and much more.
