The 5th edition of Progtoberfest will be held Sat October 24th, 2009, at the Kailash Mital Theatre located on the campus of Carleton University, Ottawa Ontario.
Now in its 5th year Progtoberfest is the Ottawa/Gatineau area showcase for local and Canadian "progressive" bands and artists. .
Appearing at the 2009 edition of Progtoberfest will be :
Space-rock duo Ambisonic, The Rebel Wheel, Orco Muto (w Maurizio Guarini from Goblin on keys ) and Ottawa's own Nathan Mahl
Progtoberfest will be an all ages event and tickets will be $25 adv - $30 Doors will open at approx 3:00 pm and there will be a dinner break around 5:30

Irene's Pub will feature great local psych bands "the band whose name is a symbol" , Castor and Nervous System on Friday Oct 23th. Tix only $8. with $3 going to the CKCU Funding Drive
There will also be a post-fest chill out avant show on Sunday Oct. 25 to be held at the Dunrobin Sonic Gym with Jesse Stewart, Norm Howard and Johannes Welsch. $10. Guests must register. Details available at http://dunrobinsonicgym.googlepages.com/
