Tough, heavy, tight and ready to destroy. The name Prometheus represents the Greek Titan of Fire and that is exactly what this metal quartet bring to the table, a fiery soundwave of apocalyptic brutality.
Prometheus was born when Max and Justin paired up to write songs with the idea of starting a band. After having teamed up with Mitch on the bass and Chuck on the drum stool, they knew the time was good to start rehearsing seriously.
The result is a mix of razor sharp riffs, a double bass onslaught, a rock bottom and solid bass tone, dazzling solos and melodic twin leads as well as a powerful, multi-faceted vocal delivery. In short, the sound is pure fucking no holds barred metal.
Since 2006 the band has started made a name for itself thanks to its furious live show.
Prometheus has shared the stage with acts such as Diecast(Century Media), 3 Mile Scream(Corporate Punishment), The Agonist(Century Media), Synastry(Year of the Sun), Endast(Big Metal), Icewind(Underground Symphony), Under the Grave(Prodisk) as well as other established local bands like Derelict, Forme and Dimentia.
In February 2007, Prometheus performed as part of Moshcore 07 at Club Soda in Montreal as well as the Shennan GrindFest in Meyersberg Ontario. To top that all off, 2008 will see the advent of the new Born of Fire demo which was self-produced.
Next on the docket is an EP which should see the light of day during the Summer of 2008 as well as countless gigs across Quebec and Ontario.
One thing is for sure, Prometheus is a band on the rise. So raise your horns and prepare for the advent of the metal titans!
Put together the first music video for one of the songs, that being for the song "Eel Marsh House", which is based on the movie "The Woman In Black". Wasn't sure to name it that instead of 'Eel Marsh..." ...Eel Marsh House being where the woman in black 'lived', and now haunts it. Though, she seems to haunt the general area of the village as well as the House. If anyone catches her gaze, looks into her eyes....a child will die, usually from the family of the person unfortunate to look at her. As you see what happens to the story's main character at the end.

Kosted album, I will make a 45 minute album (one side of a 90 minute
tape), 2 hand drawn mini posters, I will name the album after him
(Zebulon Kosted - John Smith), and the fan will retain all rights to
the recording (for use of any future release, sampling, or broadcasting
rights). One copy of the album will remain in my personal collection,
and one will be sent to the customer, so that the only copy that will
be in circulation will be John Smiths copy! Each album is available for
the ridiculously low price of $10 (not including shipping), and will be
shipped in its completed form no later than 6 weeks from the date of
purchase!!!
