".......Puncture Kit was brought to life after sitting in London's Green Park with my new bicycle not long after arriving from Australia in June 2008... no car, no drums, and a need to create beats. With my bike turned upside down, a sketchbook and no desire to be tubing a drum kit around underground, I started dreaming of ways to use my bike as my transport and drum kit . Of course it didn't work out straight off.. but a few tweaks here and there, and now I'm riding and beating the streets and clubs of London and abroad.... hope to see you rain or shine!......"

“PUNCTURE KIT - Acoustic”

Puncture Kit began life as a busker and busking he still does! Puncture Kit can be booked for these acoustic performances which are based on this street style of playing. The performances are improvised, and beats are chopped and changed in response to the crowd. Samba is fused with disco, drum n bass is fused with bossa nova, funk with hip hop and jazz and whatever pops into mind.. all played on the original busking bicycle.

“PUNCTURE KIT - Live”

Puncture Kit live shows have a cross over sound that would appeal to people that like the music of Chase and Status / 2many DJ’s / Aphex Twin / Daedelus / Led Zepplin / JoJo Mayer / Prodigy / Adam Freeland.

A live show brings a wall of sound, full of original and bootleg dancey electronica and injected with energetic drum n bass/ jungle/ breaks and dance beats, with a flavour of Brazilian street percussion, that David plays on his custom built bicycle drum kit. It’s a unique and explosive show live show lasting about 45min.

Past performances have been Glastonbury Dance Village 2009, Concorde2 Brighton, support for the Bays, Edinburgh and Brighton Festivals to name a few.

The mix of Axel Castro’s drum and bass production and engineering together with David’s tight, varied beats ensures a quality and dynamic show. Because of the uniqueness of the act, Puncture Kit plays on drum and bass line-ups, live band and electronic band line-ups.
