Patrick Woods is a "fingerstyle" acoustic guitarist, churning out instrumental compositions that rock out and grab you by the heartstrings. His music runs the gamut, so you never know what to expect. His progressive rock - jazz infused-fingerstyle-acoustic tunes have captivated audiances all across the midwest, from ages 5 and 6 to senior citizens. Patrick's latest CD, POWER FIELDS displays a variety of acoustic - driven tracks. In addition, to his acoustic chops, he also plays the Santucci Treblebass - a ten string electric guitar where one can play both bass and guitar at the same time. His recorded offerings feature this instrument as well.
He has opened for and shared the stage with regional and national acts such as: Michael Kelsey, Guy Davis, Katie Reider, Jim Volk, Eric Loy, Brian Henke, Bill Dutcher, Andy McKee and many more. He has been in guitar competitions like the Winfield acoustic fingerpicking championships, and the Candian fingerstyle contest. In September of 2006, Patrick won 2nd place in Guitar Player magazine's "Guitar Hero" competition in San Francisco, with Joe Satriani and Steve Lukather being two of the judges. He is currently gearing up to record his third album due out by early 2008.

We regret to announce the closing of Cup & Saucer Café after three and a half years in business. Call 513-544-7017 for information on buying the business. It was a good run for a mom & pop business, longer than many expected, especially considering that Marcy had a stroke just one month after we started. We had a lot of nice employees, customers, and entertainers but there were too many factors working against us. Maybe we’ll write a book about it when things calm down, but basically we had too many expenses, not enough income, and way too much stress. Health problems are the primary cause of failure of small business, and we had to bail out before it killed one or both of us. So everybody take care while we do the same. Some day we’ll get back to making Marcy Burgers, presenting great performers and taking photos of them. In the meantime keep in touch. We’d love for you to share your memories of Cup & Saucer and we’d also love to hear about your progress, especially if you got your start on our stage.
