  • Bio

....This profile was edited with ..Thomas' myspace editor™ V2.5.. Que La Chinga had a gig before they even really existed, and the band quickly formed in the summer of 2002 so that several members could make good their promise to a local promoter. At first sparsely acoustic before turning electric, they began creating a musical hangover of haunting mandolin melodies, jangly guitars, bittersweet vocals, and a rhythmic attack of bass and drums – rife with imagery of broken whiskey bottles, minimum-wage redneck towns, and eulogies to Johnny Cash. A bar band at heart, Que La Chinga has taken the stage often since their formation over four years ago, and they have released two albums independently.
  • Members

    Keil Cronin: electric mandolin, vocals, guitar, keyboards, trumpet, concertina. .. .. .... .. Bret Bailey: guitar, vocals, harmonica, & banjo. .. .. .... .. Damieon Foster: guitar, harmonica, keyboards, concertina. .. .. .... .. Kirtus Allison: bass & vocals. .. .. .... .. Chris Jaster: drums, percussion, vocals, & guitar. .. .. .... ..
  • Influences

Foggy coastal weather, minimum wage jobs, & various malt liquor beverages.
  • Sounds Like

Rock n’ roll intoxicated by the smoky barrooms of classic country, burdened by the social consciousness of folk, and delivered with the raw energy of punk. ................................................................................................................ ..
