Quintero is a trip-hop/downtempo trio based in Philadelphia. Quintero’s members have roots in Colombia, England, Canada, and the States. This broad musical knowledge helps to give Quintero its unique cosmopolitan feel. They provide a dynamic live experience, blending electronica, jazz, and pop. Listeners may recognize a Bristol-sound influence in Quintero’s music, yet they represent a fresh addition to the budding trip-hop/downtempo scene in Philly.
The Forbidden World, Quintero’s debut LP, was independently released in 2007.
The Forbidden World displays a purer downtempo/trip-hop sound. The record was written, recorded, produced, and mixed by the two founding members of Quintero: Ish Quintero and Bevin Caulfield. The band’s live sound includes three more members, Matt Bell, Aaron Bloin, and Dj Trach Metropolis to round their music with Dub, Jazz, Folk and Drum and Bass influences.
Quintero has brought its live sound to many venues in Philadelphia, New York City and Pittsburgh. Its album has been welcomed by different radio stations, not only in the States but also around the world. Some of this radio stations worth noting are: WXPN Philadelphia, PBS Radio Melbourne Australia, Evryone’s Radio Paris France, WhistleRadio, Whitchurch Ontario Auralgasms Internet Radio.
Quintero is currently working on its upcoming album, "Model C". They have been in the studio for a few months now. Their new album features some of the most talented musicians in the Philadelphia area.

Sounds good. I know I start training for my teaching position on the 6th and it will be ongoing for a few more months but hopefully we can work something out. the extra coin i make from taking those paid surveys online helps out alot tho; you should really do them too; i mean, hey, the extra money comes in handy, right? i guess you'll have to type the link into internet explorer or whatever, but here it is:

I prolly won't have anything going on that weekend so if nothing else, maybe I can get back to town for a few days then. If I can work it out, you'll have to meet 'em too. Talk to ya later buddy. Keep me updated!
I finally finished up a project I have been working on closely with my homie DJ Trippin' over the past few months. The idea was to take a handful of my freestyles, studio tracks, and b-sides I've recorded over the last year and combine them all to a 1 track mix. All mixing, scratching, and juggling was performed by DJ Trippin'. The effort is available for high quality download by clicking the cover below!
thanks for the add! I've got some new super duper, funktastic, light and heavy at-the-same-damn-time compositions that'll blow the musical inspiration right to your noggin' on the page. Check 'em out if you're bored!
